How To Cancel Your ACT Test And Get A Refund?

First of all, it is really not recommended to cancel your ACT test once you have applied for it because the chances of getting a refund are slight and it is better that you rather take the test and see how well you score if you have already paid for it.

But, still, if it is something urgent or a serious issue for which you would like to have your ACT test canceled, then you can email your unused email ticket to the email address of ACT registration which is [email protected]

The subject of your email should be “REFUND”. If they find you eligible for a refund after the cancelation, you will probably receive the refund within about 8 weeks from the day your ACT Test was canceled.

Otherwise, you can also send a snail mail to ACT’s official address in which you will be required to send your unused ticket for the exam and label “REFUND” on your envelope. You have to send the mail to the address mentioned below:

ACT

301 ACT Drive

P.O. Box 414

Iowa City, IA 52243-0414

U.S.A.

Once you have sent the mail, the refund will be issued to you within eight weeks of the date of your ACT test that you canceled.

Remember that refunds are not issued by ACT after the date of 31 July for the previous testing academic year.

How To Reschedule ACT Test?

As we have already said that canceling your ACT Test is a bad idea because the chances of receiving the refund are quite low, so, what is a better option for you here? Well, the good thing is that the applicants are allowed to alter their dates for the ACT test.

To do this, you will be required to log in to your ACT account and place a request over there for having your test rescheduled.

However, the rescheduling of your ACT test will also come with a fee. Here are the charges that you will be required to pay for rescheduling their ACT test as per the request you have made.

1. Fee for rescheduling Full ACT without Writing – $55

2. Fee for rescheduling Full AC T with Writing – $70

3. Fee for Test Option Change – $15

4. Fee for Date Change – $25

It is better that you take the test and see how good you can score on the ACT rather than just canceling the test and weeping over the money that you just totally wasted on the registration, the rest is your decision.
